Assault Charge

A 39-year-old man from Ridgetown has been arrested and charged with assault and mischief following a family dispute.

Chatham-Kent police said they responded to a report of a family dispute Wednesday morning when a 63-year-old man from Chatham was shoved and his vehicle's windows were smashed with a hammer.

No injuries were reported.

The accused was arrested on Grand Avenue West in Chatham Thursday morning.

Arrest Warrants

Chatham-Kent police have arrested two men wanted on warrants.

Police said a 55-year-old Chatham man was arrested on Llewellyn Street in Chatham on Thursday on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his release order.

Police said a GPS bracelet used to monitor the man was removed and he was arrested for breaching his release conditions.

The accused also had an outstanding warrant with London police, according to CK police.

A 30-year-old man from Chatham-Kent was also arrested by Chatham-Kent police at a local retail business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham on Thursday for failing to comply with his probation order.

The accused was on probation for uttering threats to cause death and mischief to property and was ordered by the court to stay at least 10 metres away from the store.
