Thieves target ATVs in Thamesville, Dresden
Chatham-Kent police are looking for tips from the public as they try to track down three ATVs that were reported stolen recently during two separate incidents.
Police said in the first case, someone stole a 2018 CAN-AM Outlander 570 Hunting Addition ATV from an address on Gordon Street in Thamesville.
Officers said the ATV was parked under the garage port at the residence on November 5 when surveillance footage captured two men removing the ATV from the property at 12:26 p.m. The ATV was reported a few hours later.
A blue Dodge Ram pickup truck was also recorded on video approaching the ATV at the same time.
Police were able to identify the pickup truck as having been reported stolen from Middlesex with Ontario license plate BN91914.
Investigators said the stolen ATV is camo in colour and features a camo pouch on the front, adding that police are actively searching for the suspects. You can also find some pictures of the ATV and the suspects below.
Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is urged to contact Constable Taryn Apers at taryna@chatham-kent.ca.
