The damage is estimated at $60,000 after a wood stove sparked a fire that burned out a shed on a busy road just north of Blenheim.
Chatham-Kent fire officials said they were called to the scene at 20377 Communication Road just after 8 a.m. Tuesday for a garage fire.
Three stations responded to the incident and the fire was "quickly brought under control" according to a release from CK Fire and Emergency Services.
Investigators said the fire was ruled accidental and they are pinning the cause on a wood stove.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials are also taking the opportunity to remind residents that wood stoves should be placed on a floor pad at least one meter away from walls, furniture, curtains, and other flammable materials.
