CK police briefs - Wednesday, September 25, 2024

Chatham-Kent police can cross more than a dozen names off of their wanted list after they cracked down on fulfilling several arrest warrants.

CK police said they arrested 14 people in a 24-hour period from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning with thirteen of those arrests on outstanding warrants.

The arrests were as follows:

- A 31-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on King Street in Chatham shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday for failing to attend court for fingerprints.

- A 34-year-old Chatham man was arrested just after 9 a.m. Tuesday on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for failing to attend court.

- A 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested just after 10 a.m. Tuesday on Forest Street for dangerous driving and flight from police. He is also charged with failing to attend court and failing to comply with a probation order.

- A 19-year-old Harwich Township woman was arrested at the Ontario Court of Justice on Grand Avenue West in Chatham shortly after 11:15 a.m. Tuesday for missing a scheduled court appearance.

- A 48-year-old Chatham man was arrested shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for failing to attend court.

- A 27-year-old Chatham man was returned to Chatham-Kent police from the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia at 4 p.m. Tuesday on an outstanding unendorsed warrant.

- A 29-year-old Chatham woman was arrested on Princess Street in Chatham shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on a surety relief warrant.

- A 24-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested on Murray Street in Chatham at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for failing to attend court.

- A 39-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested on King Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday on two warrants of failing to attend court.

- A 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested on Brabaw Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday for failing to comply with a probation order.

- A 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested on Brabaw Street in Wallaceburg at 10:45 p.m. for failing to attend court.

- A 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested on Grand Avenue West in Chatham shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday for fraud. He is charged with three counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of fraud, and three counts of unauthorized use of credit card data.

- A 44-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested on Colborne Street in Chatham just before 4 a.m. Wednesday for failing to attend court.

CK police said in addition to those arrests, officers also carried out a R.I.D.E. check on Lacroix Street in Chatham. Officers checked 49 vehicles and issued two Provincial Offence Notices.
