Police looking for public's assistance

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for information about a stolen vehicle.

Police were called to a residence at 8 a.m. Saturday on Lindsay Road in Chatham.

The vehicle is a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, black in colour last seen with Ontario licence plates AX18296.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cst. Craig Zink at craigc@chatham-kent.ca or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Rules of the road- drive on closed highway

Police received complaints Saturday of drivers not obeying road closure signs in Wheatley.

Motorists are reminded where signs or traffic control have been posted, failure to obey these signs or devices can cost $110 under the Highway Traffic Act.

If a road is closed, or congested with construction, find another way.

Woman arrested for bail violation

A 29-year-old woman was arrested for breaching her bail conditions, one of them being a non-association order, Saturday morning.

At around 11:45 a.m. the woman breached the non- association condition with the man in her presence, and was arrested accordingly, transported to police headquarters and was lodged for a bail hearing.

Man arrested for bail violation

A 56- year-old Chatham man was arrested for facilitating the breach of bail conditions for the above incident.

He was transported to police headquarters and later released from custody with a future court date.
