Large shed fire near Ridgetown, cause undetermined

A large shed fire between Ridgetown and Highgate has caused $300,000 in damage.

Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue reported the fire broke out just after 1 p.m. on Thursday at 13763 Gosnell Line, east of Ridgetown.

CK Fire officials said the cause of the blaze has been listed as undetermined.

They noted fire crews from Station #10 in Orford and Station #11 in Ridgetown were dispatched to a working structure fire at approximately 1:20 p.m. and upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with heavy flames from a large "drive shed."

CK Fire and Rescue said the fire is under control and crews remain on scene. A CK fire inspector is also on scene.
