SCCDSB appoints student trustees

Two new student trustees have been appointed to the St. Clair Catholic District School Board for the next term.

Grade 11 student at St. Patrick's High School Lily Cole will serve on the board from August 2023 to June 2024.

Cole currently serves as the Minister of Faith on the Student Council at St. Pat's and is a member of the Link Crew, Social Justice Committee and the curling team.

She will be joined by Georgia Pitblado, a grade 10 student at Ursuline College in Chatham, who belongs to several school clubs and teams including the NTS Drama Festival and UCC Junior Girls basketball team.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to welcome these outstanding secondary school leaders and welcome them to the Board table for the 2023-2024 term,” said board chair John Van Heck. “I would also like to thank our current student trustees, Samantha Lozon and Annabelle Rayson, for their fine reports to the Board throughout 2022-2023. We wish them God’s blessings for much continued success in all their future endeavours.”

Both Cole and Pitblado were affirmed to their new positions during the March 28 board meeting.
