Agriculture in Grey-Bruce has changed a lot over the past 48 years.
The annual Grey Bruce Farmers Week has changed along with it.
Spokesman Ray Robertson says they use input from area commodity groups to help keep the event relevant to farmers in the two counties.
At one point the week featured a day devoted to the swine industry.
It's been gone for about ten years now as the hog industry declined in the two counties.
Robertson says there's been a huge switch in Grey Bruce from livestock to cash crops.
And ecological day, which started out as an evening program, has grown to a full-day focus.
The 49th annual Grey Bruce Farmers Week runs January 7th to the 13th at the Elmwood Community Centre.
It features full-day programs devoted to beef, dairy, goat, sheep, crops, horses and the ecology.

Robertson says local farm group input has helped organisers adapt to the way the agriculture industry has changed in Grey and Bruce counties.
