Spitfires Fall To Attack In OT

The Windsor Spitfires lost 3-2 in overtime to the Owen Sound Attack in OHL action on Thursday.

The Attack struck first with a goal five minutes into the first period, but Mike Baird was able to score for Windsor half way through the second to tie the game.

Owen Sound took the lead again with a goal early in the third frame, however,Windsor tied things up to force OT, thanks to a goal by Aaron Luchuk.

The Attack scored 36 seconds into extra time to earn the win.

Windsor goaltender Michael DiPietro made 31 saves out of 34 shots on net.

The Spits are back on home ice on Friday when they battle the Sarnia Sting at 7:35pm.
