Kings Advance After Sweeping Halton

The Kingsville Kings brought their brooms to the rink Friday night.

They're one step closer to an appearance in the Russel Cup finals after sweeping the Halton Ravens out of the playoffs with a 6-0 win last night.

Kingsville forward Zack Zulkanycz led the way for the Kings, scoring a natural hat trick in the first period to help the team wrap up the South Division Finals.

The Kings will now play in a 4-game round robin against the other two divisional winners. The team that finishes first will advance to the Russell Cup finals, while the second and third place teams will play a one game semi-final with the winner moving on.

The Kings will open round robin play with a pair of games at home on Wednesday, March 16 at 7pm and Friday, March 18 at 8pm. After that, games 3 and 4 will be on the road on Saturday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 22.
