Once you've filled up on Thanksgiving Day turkey, it's time to start thinking about filling up with Halloween candy.
The Town of LaSalle is hosting a safe family event to celebrate the spookiest time of the year, Halloween.
The LaSalle Trunk or Treat event is set for Saturday, October 24 at the Vollmer Complex. The event starts at noon and ends at 4 p.m.
You'll find the event in parking lot #5, between the soccer fields. Attendees are encouraged to park in parking lots #3, #4, #6, and #7.
Parking lots #1 and #2 will be reserved for those attending scheduled programming inside the building.
Candy will be available on tables, and children can take a piece of candy from the tables. Participants are encouraged to contribute treats for the kids.
A lineup of unique vehicles will be on site too for children to view.
One needs a name. The public can vote for their favourite name for the town's new excavator. Grade 1 classes in LaSalle will submit their suggestions, and attendees will have the final say.
The winning name will be announced the day of the event at 3 p.m.
LaSalle Fire Service will be on-site accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for the LaSalle Sparky's Toy Drive.
