The Municipality of Lakeshore has shown off a new tool that provides real-time information on construction across the community.
The Development Activity Hub presents information on both planning and building activity in the Municipality.
"Council and I are thrilled to see the launch of the Development Activity Hub," said Mayor Tracey Bailey. "This tool will help our residents find out what is happening with properties in their neighbourhoods and throughout Lakeshore, as well as longer-term development trends."
Users will have access to graphs depicting application and permit types, volumes, values and statuses from 2023 on.
The tool also includes interactive and colour-coded maps showing an application’s status, as well as the locations of active projects.
"This launch is an important milestone for Lakeshore as we continue to seek opportunities to use technology to improve transparency and enhance public service," said Lakeshore Executive Director of Development Services Lauren Miller. "By providing clear and current information in one location, we are strengthening resident-centred service and supporting informed conversations about growth and development in Lakeshore."
Complete information on the Development Activity Hub can be found on the Municipality's official website.
