Windsor police have identified a man connected to a fraud case that began in January.
Investigators with the Financial Crimes Unit learned that in January, a man entered a bank branch on Howard Avenue near Eugenie Street East and used fraudulent documentation to impersonate a customer.
The man was permitted to withdraw a total of $21,195 from the victim's two bank accounts. The victim, who lives in Alberta, contacted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), who then referred the matter to Windsor police.
The suspect is described as a White male, 50 to 60 years old, with short brown hair. He was wearing a white-and-blue collared shirt and a black coat with a fur-trimmed hood.
The man is wanted for fraud over $5,000 and impersonation with intent to obtain property.
