Windsor Police officer faces new charges in breach of trust probe

A Windsor Police officer, charged back in April with breach of trust, faces new charges in relation to an ongoing investigation.

The Windsor Police Service asked the Ontario Provincial Police to investigate allegations that an officer had breached the public trust two years ago.

Now, Constable Kenneth Campo faces two new counts of breach of trust, unauthorized use of a computer, and attempt to obstruct justice.

Back in April, Windsor Police said Campo was removed from active duty, and proceedings to suspend him without pay were underway.

The OPP did not specify the circumstances in which the allegations happened.

Anyone with information related to the investigation can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.
