The City of Windsor has once again asked residents, business owners, and stakeholders for their ideas on revitalizing the downtown core.
The annual survey is used to track the progress of the Strengthen the Core-Downtown Windsor Revitalization Plan, which launched two years ago.
"Since the launch of the Strengthen the Core–Downtown Revitalization Plan, we've seen new investments, new amenities, more events, and more opportunities for people to experience downtown Windsor," said Windsor Ward 3 Councillor Renaldo Agostino. "This annual survey gives everyone an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives, helping us better understand the impact of these efforts and identify opportunities to continue building on that momentum."
Since the 2025 survey, the City has completed the following.
Windsor Police Service secured $2.28 million in provincial funding to enhance community safety initiatives.
Project Greenlight was launched across downtown Windsor to support commercial-grade security cameras and lighting improvements. 45 cameras have been installed as of June 30.
The Enhanced Weekend Outreach Initiative pilot was launched to better understand housing and homelessness-related concerns and strengthen connections to support.
The City also said 30 new businesses have set up shop downtown since the initiative began, including Expeditors, the YMCA, and Ariius Nightclub.
The survey is online through September 7, and responses are anonymous.
