Man charged in alleged sexual exploitation of two girls

Windsor police have arrested a 36-year-old following reports that two teenage girls were sexually assaulted.

The investigation began in mid-March, when investigators from the Human Trafficking Unit first got a complaint about a 16-year-old girl being coerced into providing an adult male with sexual services.

Police learned that on February 28, a man picked up two 16-year-old girls in his vehicle, gave them alcohol, then drove them to a south-end hotel, where he allegedly took suggestive photos of them and engaged in sex. The girls were then given money.

A week later, the man picked the girls up again, had sex with one of them, then gave both girls money.

Steven Allen Marles was arrested last week on Parkview Avenue in Windsor.

He is charged with three counts of obtaining sexual services from a minor, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Anyone with additional information should call the Windsor police's Human Trafficking Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4343. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
