A swimmer from Windsor-Essex has added to her already large trophy case.
LaSalle's Kylie Masse won a gold medal in the women's 50-metre backstroke at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, on Tuesday.
The medal is Masse's second of these games, after she won the silver in Sunday's women's 100-metre backstroke. Masse took the gold with a time of 27:32.
Iona Anderson of Australia swam at 27:45 and got the silver. Lauren Cox of England snagged the bronze at 27:56.
The medal marks Masse's 11th overall in Commonwealth Games action. It is her fourth Commonwealth gold medal after she won three at Gold Coast, Australia, in 2018.
