Three charged with impaired driving over the weekend

The Ontario Provincial Police charged three people with impaired driving on Sunday.

Around 2 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in Kingsville in the area of Highway 3 near Road 31. The 35-year-old driver was arrested and charged with impaired operation, dangerous operation, speeding over the posted limit, and driving without proper headlights.

Later that night, around 8 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle on Dunn Road in the Town of Essex. The 36-year-old driver was charged with impaired driving.

Around the same time, other officers stopped a vehicle on the E.C. Row near Banwell Road in the Town of Tecumseh. The 53-year-old driver was charged with impaired driving and driving while under suspension.

The charges have not been proven in court.

OPP remind residents to call 9-1-1 if they suspect someone is driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
