Man charged after threatening teen with knife

A 46-year-old man has been charged following an incident at a Windsor bus stop.

It happened shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday on Wyandotte Street East near Aylmer Avenue. Police learned that a 15-year-old girl was waiting at the bus stop when a man approached and made inappropriate comments about the length of her skirt.

The suspect then allegedly pulled a knife and threatened the teen before running away.

Officers arrested the man a short time later in the area of Wyandotte East and McDougall Street.

He is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, uttering death threats, and failure to comply with a probation order.

The charges have not been proven in court. The investigation is ongoing.
