Windsor police say two people are facing charges in connection with an extortion case.
On March 12, officers were called to a cellphone business on Tecumseh Road East near Lauzon Parkway on a report of a $24,000 fraud.
The Major Crimes Unit learned that in January, a man went into the business and stuck an object into the back of an employee.
"The suspect threatened to harm the employee and his family if his demands were not met. He also disclosed personal information that caused the employee to fear for his personal safety," read a social media post from Windsor police.
In eight separate incidents between January and March, the suspect and a second person went back to the business to coerce the employees into giving away a total of 12 iPhones through intimidation.
Two 36-year-old men were identified as the suspects.
One was arrested on March 15 at an east Windsor house. He is charged with two counts of fraud under $5,000.
The second suspect was arrested on Tuesday at an east Windsor house. He's charged with one count of extortion and six counts of theft under $5,000.
The charges have not been proven in court.
