Windsor woman wins $1M

A Windsor woman has one million reasons to celebrate thanks to her late mother.

Zina Hamid Naman won $1 million in the February 25, Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball Draw.

"My mom gave me some numbers to play before she passed away," she shared. "I've been playing the same numbers ever since."

The 34-year-old claimed to be both happy and surprised by the win, adding that the most she's ever won in the lottery before this was $65.

Hamid Naman plans to share some of her prize with her siblings. She also said she wants to invest some of the money and to pay off some bills.

According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming, the winning ticket was purchased at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Talbot Street in Leamington.
