Windsor Police have arrested one suspect and seized $338,000 in drugs and cash after a targeted investigation involving the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit.

Police started investigating a man suspected of trafficking illegal drugs back in January. Then, on Wednesday, police, with the assistance of the Emergency Services Unit and the K9 Unit, arrested a 48-year-old man in Amherstburg.

Following the arrest, officers then searched the suspect's vehicle and a home on Concession Road 6 South.

That's where they found 3,050.9 grams of cocaine, 758 oxycodone tablets, and 16.1 grams of psilocybin or magic mushrooms. The combined value is $309,041.

Several weapons, including two heavy-duty stun guns, a crossbow, a butterfly knife, two pairs of brass knuckles and multiple replica firearms were also seized, along with $29,010 in cash.

The suspect is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, three counts of possession of a weapon while prohibited, and possession of the proceeds of crime.
