Bicyclist in hospital following collision

A bicyclist has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a vehicle crash in Windsor.

According to Windsor Police, a vehicle collided with a man on a bike on Tecumseh Road East. Officers responded to the area just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The driver remained at the scene, and the 28-year-old victim was promptly transported to the hospital.

Officers closed the westbound lanes of Tecumseh Road East between Howard Avenue and Highland Avenue for a few hours while officers investigated.

Police have reopened the road, and no charges have been laid at this time.

No change in Bank of Canada rate
