Arrest made in June thefts in Windsor

Windsor Police have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with a series of thefts back in June.

Police had video evidence of a suspect in the parking lot of a commercial facility on Walker Road. A few minutes later, the man was seen driving away in a stolen vehicle.

Half an hour later, the same suspect was spotted entering a secure compound on Central Avenue, where he loaded stolen property into the vehicle and drove off.

Officers identified the suspect and made the arrest on Tecumseh Road West at Huron Church last Thursday.

The 44-year-old man faces five counts of failure to comply with a release order, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of break-in instruments, break-and-enter, and possession of property obtained by crime.
