Kingsville town councillors still have to get through budget deliberations, but so far, it looks like property owners in Kingsville will pay 6.7 per cent more on their property tax bill next year.
The draft budget for 2026 calls for another $143.63 a year, or $11.97 a month.
The added 3.3 per cent increase is dedicated to capital asset replacement.
The budget includes $2.6-million to fix roads, $1.4-million to replace aging bridges, and another $333,000 for its contract with the Ontario Provincial Police. Another $1.2-million is set aside for a new fire truck.
The proposed total operating budget for 2026 is $24.7-million, and for the capital budget, $28.3-million. The total tax levy is $30.4-million.
Last year, residents paid another 3.61 per cent on their property tax bill.
Budget deliberations are set for December 10 and December 11, if needed.
