Windsor police say one man has been arrested and another is sought in a series of retail thefts across the city.
Investigators from the Retail Theft Unit had been looking at a pattern of thefts throughout the summer. Four incidents involving the same person were reported between July 11 and August 18.
In each instance, the suspect entered the business, took assorted items, concealed them, and walked out without paying.
On Wednesday, police arrested a 34-year-old man on Tecumseh Road East near Jefferson Boulevard.
He is charged with four counts of theft under $5,000. The charges have yet to be proven in court.
Police are also looking for a second man wanted in a separate series of shoplifting incidents.
The suspect allegedly visited different locations of the same chain on four occasions, took items, and left without any attempt to pay.
A security camera image of the second suspect is seen above. He is described as Black, with a medium build, 5’ 8” tall, and approximately 50 to 60 years of age.
