Suspect wanted in overnight vehicle arson

Windsor police are turning to the public for tips after a vehicle was set on fire early Monday.

Officers and Windsor firefighters appeared on Highland Avenue near Erie Street East at about 2:30 a.m. When they arrived, a parked white Ford Explorer was engulfed in flames. Firefighters soon put it out.

No one was hurt, but the vehicle was seriously damaged.

The fire is being treated as suspicious.

Police have asked residents and business owners in the neighbourhood to check their security or dashcam footage for unusual activity between 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.
