Windsor man charged with suspected internet luring

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after Windsor police say he allegedly had inappropriate internet chats with at least two children.

Last month, members of the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began a probe after someone began contact with a person believed to be a 15-year-old girl.

Over the next few days, the suspect engaged in a series of conversations before arranging to meet the teen in person.

Police also learned that the suspect may have been communicating online with a 12-year-old.

On Friday, police arrested Randall Arthur Moody in the area of Dougall Avenue and Medina Street.

He is charged with two counts of electronically communicating with someone under 16 for criminal purposes.

The investigation is ongoing, and the charges have not been proven in court.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit at (519) 255-6700, extension 4896. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
