$1M of product lost in structure fire

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services report $1 million worth of product loss in a structure fire.

On Saturday, the fire services responded to a large industrial building on Marenette Avenue after the sprinkler system was activated.

Smoke was showing on the building when crews arrived and identified that the fire was coming from the loading dock.

Three sprinkler heads activated, which helped contain the fire to a single unit.

The fire service declared the fire out at roughly 10 a.m., with crews performing salvage and overhaul while ventilating the smoke from the building.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time, but Windsor Fire and Rescue estimates that around $1 million in product loss occurred.
