Windsor home suffers $500K in damage from fire

No one was injured when a Windsor home caught on fire.

The blaze happened on Saturday on Longfellow Avenue.

According to Windsor Fire & Rescue Services, an outdoor open flame grill was too close to the building, causing the fire.

The main floor and attic were severely damaged. The total cost of damage is estimated at around $500,000.

Windsor Fire & Rescue Service said people living in the home have since been displaced.
