If you happen to be in the area of Windsor's Jackson Park, you will notice some additional work going on.
The City of Windsor will begin the second phase of its preparation for Bright Lights Windsor on Friday.
Crews will add to the perimeter fencing, which will be installed to enclose the west side of the park, running along the Ouellette Avenue-Tecumseh Road intersection to the Ouellette Avenue overpass.
Last week, the fencing along the north end of Jackson Park, along Tecumseh Road East, was put up. The service road north of the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens is now closed.
The preparation is once again taking place in stages to minimize disruptions for park users.
Last year's lighting extravaganza brought over 105,000 people to Jackson Park. Bright Lights Windsor has consistently been one of the region's top holiday attractions.
This year's festival will run nightly, weather permitting, from November 28, to January 7, 2026.
