The success of Jane's Walk Tour earlier this year in Essex has prompted the town to promote more of its heritage online.
The town has launched an online interactive tool to explore heritage sites in Essex.
"The Town of Essex has a rich history, and this tool allows you to learn about the unique heritage sites on Alice Street in Essex Centre," said Essex Mayor Sherry Bondy.
The virtual tour highlights key landmarks and stories dating back to the 1800s. The public is invited to learn more about the founders of the Essex Free Press, local secrets of bootlegging, and other highlights of cultural significance from the comfort of their own home. Each location reveals a new chapter in the development of the town.
