Transit Windsor is making huge improvements to service at the end of the month.
Starting August 31, there will be new routes, increased frequency and expanded coverage on high-demand routes.
A new route, Route 250, has been added to service industrial areas of the city along Rhodes Drive and Twin Oaks Drive to the NextStar Industrial plant.
Routes like the former Parent 14 (now Route 315) and Dougall 6 (now Route 205) have been extended for expanded coverage.
“The team at Transit Windsor has worked tirelessly to bring the 2025 Transit Windsor Service Plan to life, marking a major milestone in the implementation of our Transit Master Plan. With the addition of 20,000 new service hours, we’re proud to deliver more frequent, reliable, and accessible service to our riders. These changes reflect our commitment to building a transit system that grows with our community and meets the evolving needs of Windsor residents,” said Stephan Habrun, Acting Executive Director, Transit Windsor.
Transit users will also notice some other route name changes. Primary routes will be 100 series, secondary routes will be 200 series, and local routes will be in the 300 series.
