Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Executive Director Katharen Bortolin has launched this year's Face to Face Campaign, expressing gratitude for the donations raised in previous years that support the Fairley Family Transportation Program.
This is the campaign's 23rd year, and over the past two decades, it raised $1.7-million for the hospice.
Canvassers will collect donations online and in person until September 30. Those interested in raising money can get a Face to Face canvasser kit by going online to the hospice's webpage.
This year, a new program will also receive financial support. The G.E.N.I.E program offers those staying in hospice care or at home to request a special trip or outing. It could be for one last family reunion or a trip to a local park.
"Because of you, people in hospice care can get to important appointments and make meaningful memories with loved ones," said Bortolin. "Thank you for continuing to show up for our hospice patients and their families in such an impactful and generous way."
Funds from Face to Face also support other programs at the Hospice for Windsor and Essex County.
Campaign founder John Fairley said he looks forward to another successful campaign this year.
