Comber crash results in charges

A 56-year-old Lakeshore man faces a list of charges after he allegedly left the scene of a crash in Comber on Thursday night.

The Ontario Provincial Police say one vehicle collided with another on Gracey Sideroad at Morris Road around 10 p.m.

Injuries in the crash are minor.

One vehicle fled the scene, but the OPP caught up with it shortly thereafter and arrested the driver.

The driver faces charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs or alcohol, operating a motor vehicle while over the legal blood-alcohol concentration, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop after an accident.

The suspect was released from police custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 22.
