Charges laid after single-vehicle crash in Lakeshore

A 19-year-old Lakeshore woman faces charges after a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police responded to the crash on County Road 22 near Wallace Line around 3:30 a.m.

No one was hurt in the collision, but when officers spoke with the driver, the woman admitted to drinking alcohol.

The 19-year-old is now charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs and operating of a motor vehicle with an alcohol blood concentration over the legal limit.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The officer also suspended her driver's license for 90 days and impounded her vehicle for a week.

The accused was released from custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on August 22.
