UPDATE: One person burned in Moy Avenue fire

Windsor firefighters were on the scene of a blaze on Monday afternoon that sent one person to hospital.

Numerous first responders were called shortly before 3:30 p.m. to Moy Avenue near Hanna Street East.

Windsor Fire and Rescue reported a detached garage in flames, which resulted in damage to hydro wires and other structures.

The fire was declared out a short time later.

One man was treated and released from hospital with second-degree burns on one arm.

Fire officials say lithium battery failure was the cause of the blaze, which caused about $100,000 in damage.
