Retail theft suspect arrested by Windsor police

Windsor police say a person connected to a series of shoplifting incidents has been arrested.

The alleged incidents happened between July 29 and November 11, 2024, and again on March 27.

Police say a man visited two hardware stores, one on Tecumseh Road and one on Division Road, on 12 occasions and stole merchandise.

A 47-year-old man was identified by police as a suspect on Wednesday.

He was arrested without incident on Pelissier Street near Elliott Street West and charged with 12 counts of theft.

The charges have not been proven in court.
