Suspect wanted for passing $1500 in counterfeit cash

Windsor police are looking for a man suspected of passing "funny money" at local drugstores.

Investigators from the Financial Crimes Unit began looking into a series of incidents between February 7 and 10. The suspect visited four pharmacies throughout the city and allegedly used $1,500 in counterfeit money to pay for gift cards.

Police say the suspect has been identified as 21-year-old David James Ufimzeff.

He has a warrant on four counts apiece of fraud under $5,000, uttering counterfeit money, possession of counterfeit money, and possession of stolen property.
