Witnesses sought after fatal crash in Windsor

Windsor Police are investigating a crash on Lauzon Parkway Tuesday night that killed a 25-year-old woman, and they're looking for witnesses.

Just before 10 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Lauzon at Hawthorne Drive. They found a white car with significant damage on its front end and a white pickup truck that had flipped onto its side.

Paramedics rushed the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

A 38-year-old man driving the pickup truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Lauzon Parkway was closed for several hours while the Windsor Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit investigated.

Just before 3 p.m., Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for a large area including Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Huron County and Perth County.
