Family retains lawyer after car crashes into home

A Windsor family is looking for answers after a car crashed into their South Windsor home killing their 73-year-old grandmother.

Ruzena Noniewicz was killed on December 8 after the car left Riviera Drive and drove through the home. Another woman was also seriously injured.

The family has retained Windsor lawyer Greg Monforton who is looking for witnesses to the incident.

“This is an unspeakable tragedy. The family is in shock and is devastated. While the police investigation continues, our firm will also work to uncover all facts so the family can know why this happened and how something like this can be prevented in future," said Monforton.

Witnesses who saw the crash or know anything about the circumstances surrounding it are asked to call Monforton's office.

“This family is suffering incredible pain and they have questions about how a street can be configured in such a way that a car can crash right into the front of the house? Was speed a factor? Why were there no speed bumps?" said Monforton.
