WRH changes visitor policy amid increase of RSV cases

Windsor Regional Hospital is making changes to its visitors' policy in paediatric and neonatal intensive care units due to a rise in Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) cases.

The new policy comes into effect immediately.

Visiting hours on the Paeds unit are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Only one caregiver will be permitted to stay overnight. During visiting hours only two people per family will be allowed at one time, all visitors must be over the age of 16 and any visitor showing signs of illness will not be permitted.

In the NICU, parents are allowed 24 hours a day except for shift change. All other visitors are welcome from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. as long as there is a parent present.  During visiting hours only two people per family will be allowed at one time, all visitors must be over the age of 16 and any visitor showing signs of illness will not be permitted.
