Vehicle sought by OPP in Tecumseh break-and-enter

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking anyone who recognizes a vehicle seen near a break-in earlier this month to give them a call.

Officers from the Tecumseh detachment responded to a business on North Talbot Road near Walker Road on Monday, October 7.

They learned that sometime between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. the night before, someone driving a dark blue Mazda CX-5 arrived at the business, then proceeded to enter and make off with $26,000 worth of tools. They then left in a pickup truck.

Police say most of the stolen tools were of the DeWalt brand.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Mazda was captured on a security camera.

If you recognize the vehicle or have information on this incident, call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
