Enforcement blitzes yield citations in Windsor, LaSalle, and Amherstburg

Windsor and LaSalle police teamed up before the weekend for two separate traffic enforcement blitzes.

The first one was on Friday afternoon. Windsor officers conducted a blitz in the Devonshire Mall area and handed out 33 citations.

Offences included distracted driving, running a red light, and driving with a suspended license or without insurance. One person was arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended.

Later Friday night, a joint RIDE program in LaSalle and Amherstburg took place, with just one roadside test out of 267 vehicles.
