Police investigating Pelisser Street arson

The Windsor Police Service Arson Unit is investigating a fire on Pelissier Street.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services responded to the blaze around 4 a.m. Sunday.

Eight residents were at home at the time of the fire and managed to escape. Two people were transported to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire caused around $350,000 in damages.

Investigators determined the fire was deliberately set. They're asking residents in the area of Pelissier Street and Shepherd Street to check their surveillance or dashcam footage for possible evidence.
