RIDE program results in no impaired driving arrests

Local law enforcement are hoping that all enforcement blitzes end as well as one did on Thursday.

Windsor police teamed up with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Thursday evening for a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program.

Two checkpoints were set up on Matchett Road, as well as on Cabana Road East off Howard Avenue.

Officers checked a total of 480 vehicles, and found no drivers were impaired.
