Business as usual at Windsor Public Libraries

A tentative agreement has been reached between CUPE Local 2067.1 and the Windsor Public Library (WPL).

The union representing the library workers had June 30 at midnight, as their strike deadline if talks dissolved. Both sides had been in mediated negotiations since January as their contract expired on December 31.

Details of the tentative agreement won't be released until a ratification vote is held and the WPL Board reviews the details.

Safety concerns, Sunday hours and proper funding were issues library workers were facing as they negotiated a new contract.
