A 70-year-old man is facing multiple charges in connection to the sexual assault of a minor family member.
The Amherstburg detachment of the Windsor Police Service launched an investigation earlier this month after receiving a complaint.
Investigators learned a 12-year-old victim had been assaulted by an adult relative over a period of four years.
The man was arrested on Thursday and was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, incest, assault, and extortion.
The suspect's name will not be released to protect the victim's identity.
