Weapons, cash seized at Ambassador Bridge

Two people were sent back to the U.S. after being stopped at the Ambassador Bridge.

Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers sent the pair to secondary inspection at the Windsor point of entry.

Following a search, officers confiscated a firearm, a stun gun, and a canister of pepper spray.

Agents also seized $11,815 in U.S. currency.

The two people were issued fines and barred from entering Canada.

The CBSA is using this incident to remind border commuters, particularly those planning to head to Detroit this week for the NFL Draft, to leave their weapons at home and declare all cash they have on them.
