Suspect arrested in string of break-ins

Windsor police have arrested a suspect in a string of break-ins throughout the city.

Between February 20 and March 3, the Windsor Police's Target Base Unit investigated five commercial and attempted break-ins.

In all but one incident, the suspect smashed the windows of the businesses to get inside.

The suspect stole $11,000 from two businesses in the area of Tecumseh Road and Jefferson Boulevard. The businesses had major damage from when the suspect tried to enter in three other incidents.

After an investigation, police arrested a 53-year-old man. He faces charges of break and enter, attempted break and enter, wearing a disguise to commit a crime, breach of probation, and failing to comply with a release order.
